PROJECT DESCRIPTION

If I had planned this photo manipulation out a little more before I did it, it would have been slightly different. There just aren't enough unique reflections of Barry, you see. Or too many. I never took one photo of just the mirror without any Barrys, so it was impossible to cut me out entirely, which is why I thought it was funny to just add more me's. That wasn't my plan when I started (although a small idea was there, hence taking photos in different positions) so I never took one fully turned around looking at the camera, which is what suit Barry's back reflection should be doing.

Well, that was a fun paragraph to write! To do this image, I set up my tripod (a makeshift stack of boxes with my phone precariously leaning against a small one at the top). I then proceeded to take photos in multiple positions. I placed bits of tape on the mirror to help keep my hand in the correct position each time. I ended up using suit Barry's hand for both the current Barry and reflection Barry, and blended it with t-shirt Barry's arm to make it as seemless as possible.

This is the end result. It was one of the first photoshop designs I ever did. I really liked the idea of changing my reflection, so I made several designs this way to try to perfect it. Below you can see two behind the scenes photos to view a small amount of the process of reaching the finished product.
