PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This was the final image in the Reflection Series until I later made Mirror Selfie. Despite the fact that I had to use myself as the subject in these photos, I am really happy with this one. This was the first where I was able to completely remove all of the background reflections, which looks amazing.

To create this, I stacked a bunch of boxes up to act as a tripod. I then put a tiny box on top of them where my phone was propped. I run a high-tech outfit here, let me tell you! I set it up just out of sight of the mirror and took a photo without me to get the background image. I then placed small pieces of tape on the mirror so that my fingers would be in the same place for each photo (that didn't work). I then proceeded to take more photos than I'd like to admit in the shirt, then did the same wearing a suit.

After that, I put the images on top of each other in Photoshop and deleted the reflections I did not want. As you can imagine, the most difficult part was where the fingers touch. If I remember correctly, I ended up using short-sleeved Barry's hand reflection and blended it with suit Barry's arm because their hands ended up in different positions and that was the best way to make it seemless.

I hope you like it as much as I do. I have included two behind the scenes photos below to show the process of making this image.
