"LOOK INTO MY EYES. ARE YOU LOOKING? LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU ARE."
This is my first somewhat creepy photo manipulation. Really, only the eyes are all that creepy, but I generally don't do very dark artwork because I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. I spent a long while setting a manor on fire (in photoshop, I'm not an arsonist!) and originally had that image inside the crystal ball. However, it seemed a bit too unsettling so I decided to make the scene around the main subject on fire.
You know, because it's so much more relaxing to have fires rage around a person that he presumably caused, rather than that person holding a ball with an image of a fire...
Well that's what I chose to do and I actually really like how it turned out. I took the hallway and cleared out the doors. Then I added a bunch of fire photos to the doors to make it appear as though each room was on fire. Then I changed the fires to green because I wanted more of an otherworldly feel to the image. I added myself, because I grew impatient attempting to find a stock photo of a person looking at the camera with their hand held out toward it. I then added the crystal ball I made with the help of the above tutorial and placed a cosmos image I edited inside of it. The flames around it were surprisingly the most difficult part for me.
I blurred the hallway quite a lot, and blurred myself a little less so the focus would be on the hand and sphere. I blurred my jacket sleeve even less because it is closer to the camera and I wanted it to look as though the camera was focused solely on the firey orb. I also turned my eyes white to add to the supernatural seer vibe. I think that may be the first time I have ever officially written vibe. Vibe.
And that's all she wrote! I hope you like it. I have included some 'making of' photos below so you could see the process of the design.
