I downloaded the free trial of Photoshop CS5 to try out some of the 3D features, since my computer is ancient and the graphics card isn't compatible with CC (2015), CC (2014), CC, CS6 Extended, or CS6...
Wow, I need a new computer! I had considered trying After Effects too, until I read the required specs. HAHAHAHAH silly Barry, After Effects is for people who use computers that weren't made over 10 years ago.
Anyway, I decided to try a really cool tutorial by Eren Göksel to make a crystal ball and I really like it. If you have read much from me in some of my photo manipulations, or on Twitter, you will know I'm obsessed with making spheres, so of course I had to make one with my new, state of the art version of Photoshop (from 2010). The result above is pretty much following his guide word for word, except that I changed the image with a public domain image of a castle. I can't really take credit for anything, but I wanted to post it here nonetheless, if for no other reason but because it looks awesome.
