PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Just playing with myself. I did actually search extensively for stock photos of people who could be used as the models. But I could only find female puppets and male puppeteers, and I didn't feel that it was very empowering to make a man control a woman. Not to say that some of the puppet stock photos didn't look absolutely awesome with the clothes and makeup, however. It reminds me of a Russian song by Nyusha called Vybirat chudo (НЮША - Выбирать чудо). She does a cool puppet dance in the music video (what's a puppet dance?) and I like the song, even though I don't understand the words.

Anyway, I had the idea of creating an open box or diarama with a photo to act as the stage for the puppet. I took the background photo and created the sides and added the flooring. I then put the wooden texture over my hands, feet and face to create a more puppet-like appearance. Then I used crazy face for the puppeteer and we had a design! This was actually a fun one to make.
